Friday 6th March 2020 The Apollo Big Band with Simon Currie at The Sutton Hall, Stockcross.

Sunday 8th March 2020 “Diva” – The Limelight Orchestra at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall, South Sherwood St., NG 5ND, Nottingham. 19:30-22:30. Diva brings together the 50-piece Limelight Orchestra with pop, soul, jazz and musical theatre vocalists for a special one-off event.
The celebratory concert will feature memorable renditions of songs from the most iconic female singers of the last 60 years including Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Kylie, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé and Lizzo backed by a breathtakingly big sound from the city’s leading contemporary orchestra.

Thursday 12th March 2020 Blow The Fuse – The Alison Rayner Quintet at The Albany Club Earlsdon, 10 Earlsdon Street, Coventry, 20:00 – 22:30; presented by Jazz Coventry.

Sunday 15th March 2020 Fat Chops Big Band with Matt Ford (yes, you’ve seen him on the TV with the John Wilson Orchestra) at the Moseley All Services Club, Moseley, B13 9EA. 12:30pm start – Tickets £10 on the door.

Sunday 15th March 2020 The Crash Collective Big Band at the Talisman Theatre in Kenilworth, starting at 7:30pm. Many Badger friends (and Badgers!) in this band – it’s a good night out!

Sunday 15th March 2020 The Nottingham Jazz Orchestra with Vicky Moroziuk at The Federation Club, Nottingham, NG5 1BH, 20:00-22:30. Entry on the door £10

The Nottingham Jazz Orchestra will be joined on vocals by Vicky, and it will be an evening of classic big band numbers from the Ella Fitzgerald / Duke Ellington library. Don’t miss this splendid night of amazing music from ballads to blistering barnstormers.”

Monday 23rd March 2020 John Lake Trio and Elizabeth Bustard at The Paris House, 21 Western Road, BN3 1AF, Hove. 20:00-22:00 [Badger note: please check start time which is different to this in the detail below]. Doors open at 7.00pm and the concert of original jazz fusion will be added to with some high energy jazz from the songbooks of Chick Corea, Michel Camilo, Michael Jackson and Don Fagen. Tickets are available in advance from The Brunswick site online at £5/£4 and on the night on the door at £6/£5/. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 25th March 2020 The Birmingham Big Band (led by John Ruddick MBE) with Michael Brooks at Moseley All Services Club, Moseley, B13 9EA, 12:30pm start, £8 on the door.
